Dear visitor,The purpose of this site is just to share some impressions, images taken during strolls, family-outs, biking tours, walkabouts, observations and foreign traveling. I’m certainly not a professional photographer, not even a decent amateur, but more of an enthusiastic ‘photo-observer’ with a fascination for everything that moves, jumps, grows, bites, stings and flourishes etc. Therefore I’m not specializing or focusing on a specific aspect, species or region (unfortunately haven’t got the time to do so), but use a more general and opportunistic approach just in trying to photograph anything interesting that by any hazard crosses my path or eye. In one of the photography courses I attended, the teacher defined a good wildlife photographer as a perfect match between a technician (all that new stuff), a biologist (knowledge of nature is obviously most helpful) and a poet (composition, light, colors). After some years of photographing, I’m convinced he deliberately left out two characters, in order not to demotivate his interested audience: the old indian (patience!), and the jet pilot (reaction speed). Anyway, it may be clear that only a limited number of wildlife photographers combine this widespread set of skills, but in my opinion they all -amateur or professional- have a common ingredient : the childish ability ‘to wonder’ or to be amazed. |
